I hate hearing about other peoples’ dreams. So here’s a dream I had last night, brought on by watching Back To The Future right before I went to bed: I’m Marty McFly (of course), and I’m at the Enchantment Under The Sea dance where I hop on stage to fill in for the guitarist with the cut hand. I tell the crowd “this is an oldie… well it’s an oldie where I come from” and instead of playing Johnny B. Goode I break into Cabwaylingo. I don’t remember what happened next, but I’m pretty sure it ruined the dance and my parents never got together. And Marvin Berry certainly didn’t call Chuck. Not that Cabwaylingo isn’t a great song, it’s just not the one you should pick to play at a dance if the fate of your existence depended on your parents getting together during a song.
(And that, kids, is why you don’t tell people about your dreams)
