– This report from Physicians for Human Rights pretty much ruined my morning. I hope it ruins yours too. The things our military has been doing in the name of “defending freedom” are shameful.
I wish AT&T told me that I had to re-activate my phone in iTunes before I decided to change my number on the way to the airport.
My new cell number is (415) 601-8990. I look forward to not hearing from you enough and not calling you enough.
I feel so grown up now that I have my own desk at work.

– Rock Plaza Central - Are We Not Horses (I just bought this album on eMusic based solely on that description. How can it not be amazing?)
Update: If you ever wanted Jeff Mangum and Will Oldham to record an album together, you will love Rock Plaza Central.

Listening to Jonathan Richman instead of sleeping. I’m totally going to regret this tomorrow.
Chaffetz defeats Cannon in Republican primary →
I’m excited to see incumbent Utah 3rd District House representative Chris Cannon lose the Republican primary (his extreme right-wing policies freaked me out a little bit), but am terrified that he lost because Utah County decided he wasn’t conservative enough for their tastes.
Operation Kitten Calendar
There are a bunch of these on Revver. You should watch them all if you like The Apprentice and/or kitten calendars. That’s pretty much everyone, right?
I came in about four writers into the process. It’s kind of hard to write a...

Whoever made up the Mark Twain “summer in San Francisco” quote is full of crap. Soooooo hot.
Landlubbers exasperate me →
An e-mail conversation Josh and I had the other day. Seriously, living on a boat would be the coolest thing ever.
I pity the foos(ball) →
Brian made a soundtrack for the upcoming Ancestry.com foosball tournement. They are lucky I moved to the SF office, because I would totally have won. For the past year I’ve been lulling them into thinking that I suck, when in fact I am a world-renowned foos hustler.
My love of the new Lil’ Wayne wore off quick. Not nearly as relistenable as his last mixtape
rickyv:
Dan hits on girls that clearly are with their boyfriends in Central Park. This was so uncomfortable to watch for me.
When will Muxtape allow you to remux a track like Tumblr allows you to reblog a post?

I think it’s only appropriate that my last day in Provo involved me getting really lost looking for the Comcast office.
Maybe I shouldn’t have waited until 4:30 am to start untangling my rat’s nest of home theater wires. The movers will be here in 2 hours…
Having my goodbye lunch at Mama Chu’s. I wonder how many beef chimichangas I’ve eaten here in the last 2 1/2 years?
Time travel back to 1000 A.D.: Survival tips →
nickdouglas:
A bunch of people try to figure out how to best survive and make your way in the world if you were suddenly dropped in Europe around A.D. 1000. The most sensible/interesting suggestions:
Do anything you can that’s related to sanitation and boiling water. You can invent whiskey, keep alive longer, maybe become a town doctor just by dint of knowing (but not talking about) germ...
Wondering why my new GPS unit asked me what state and time zone I’m in during setup. Shouldn’t it kind of know that better than me?
